Our Life Priorities

Photo Booth With Family

Of the many things we value and prioritize in life, one of the most important is family. To us, spending quality time with each other and our family is something that brings us meaning and fulfillment. We are blessed to have great families that we are very close with and who are highly involved in our lives. We have formed great relationships with each other's families and consider them to be some of our best friends. From tough times we've faced to joyous and special occasions, our family is always there. We love having some great mentors to bounce ideas off of and get advice from. No matter what is happening, we know that any of our family members would drop whatever they are doing and be there for us in a heartbeat!

Our Pup, Marlin

Handsome Marlin After the Groomer

We have the sweetest, friendliest, and fluffiest Goldendoodle named Marlin! He has never met a person or dog he hasn't loved. We both grew up with family dogs and wanted to continue that tradition. To us, Marlin is a part of the family! We love that having pets can teach responsibility to children at an early age, help us keep active, and bring lots of laughs. Having a pet is also a form of support during tough times. Marlin proved to be a great support to the family when we lost Tori's dad unexpectedly. We worked hard to train Marlin to be great with kids and non-territorial with his food, toys, bones, etc. We would do the same with any future pets as well!

Our Faith

Our relationship with God is very important to us! The "Golden Rule" in the Bible is to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This is something that we try to apply in every aspect of life. We are both intentional about being kind, living Christ-centered lives, and serving others.

We are involved in helping at our local church and serving our local community as well. We have made some great friends and love being a part of a supportive community within our church. We are frequently volunteering with outreaches, helping in the kid's area, or pitching in with wherever there is a need!

We are far from perfect, but we try to honor God in all that we do, love people, and impact the world around us.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

Our home is full of fun and is a great place with lots of room to spread out and relax! We frequently have friends, family, and their kids over to hang out. We intentionally live in a great school district, where there are tons of local parks, and a great children's lake where we love to feed ducks (We frequently grab some local ice cream on the way home)! Fun fact: the path by the lake is part of the Appalachian Trail!

A Great Local Castle Park!

We are in the suburbs just five minutes away from two quaint towns that have tons going on. We are also within a few hours of major cities as well: Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Gettysburg, New York City, Hershey, and Ocean City! Close by are some great museums, zoos, state parks, and amusement parks, as well.

We love hosting cookouts in warm weather. Our big backyard has plenty of room to play, and an oversized driveway that is great for sidewalk chalk! Matt is typically manning the smoker or grill, people are jumping in the pool, playing yard games, and of course making s'mores over the fire pit!

Fall is another great time of year here, as the leaves are gorgeous in this area. There are lots of apple festivals, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, apple orchards, and other great events happening.

In the winter months, we love to work on puzzles, play board games, work on crafts, bake, and snuggle up with a blanket and watch a movie.

Our Extended Families

Tori & Her Mom

We both come from tight-knit, supportive, and loving families. Both sides of our family can't wait to see the family grow, and our parents are so excited to become grandparents!

Tori is an only child and Matt is the middle of three children.

Matching Christmas PJ's With Matt's Family

Tori's mom (Ellen), grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins live nearby. Ellen recently sold a successful insurance agency, and now works at an eye doctor's office. She can't wait to babysit! We frequently get together with Tori's side of the family for dinner, to play games, celebrate birthdays/holidays, and do fun things in the area. We love finding local events, festivals, and entertainment that we all enjoy as a family!

Matt's parents (Tim and Linda), and sister along with her husband live nine hours away. Tim is an SVP at his company and Linda volunteers at their local church. They already have baby clothes ready to be wrapped! Matt's older brother and wife live on the other side of the country. Both of Matt's siblings are also working on growing their families, so there will be lots of cousins! We stay in touch with Matt's family weekly, frequently travel to see them, go on family vacations, and they visit us as well! Our family vacations are sometimes here in the states as well as abroad! We always enjoy spending time with each other and love to play games.

From Us to You

Thank you for taking the time to look through our profile and learn a little bit about us! We can only imagine the journey you are navigating, the decisions you are facing, and the discomfort that the unknown is bringing you. We know that this all must be a bit scary. Please know that we are praying for you, your family, and your child as you make these choices. We would love to partner with you on this journey and promise to do our very best to provide a stable, safe, and loving home for your child. We will always give them every opportunity available to learn and grow. We would love to get to know you through this process and continue to be a part of each other's lives with visits, phone calls, emails/letters, pictures, texts, etc. (Of course, to the extent you are comfortable with!).

We have been married for 5 ½ years and can't wait to expand our little family. Adoption has always been something that we were interested in pursuing. After 4 ½ years of seeking fertility treatments, embryo adoption, and grieving 2 early miscarriages, we are so excited to be on the path of traditional adoption. Being able to welcome a baby into our lives would be the biggest blessing and something that we have prayed and dreamed about for years!

We both come from great families that demonstrate unconditional love, which is something we will always have for your child and for you. Becoming parents is something that we don't take lightly. We tackle everything that life throws at us as a team. Parenting would be no exception! We have done our best to prepare for parenthood. We have both worked hard to be wise with our finances and ensure that will be able to provide a very comfortable lifestyle for any child we are blessed with.

We want to give our kids every opportunity available to them! We will always celebrate them for their individuality, and make sure we help them to learn about their heritage/culture as they grow up. We hope that we can develop some new family traditions as well as uphold some of our own! We can't wait to travel as a family, create memories, and get to experience things as a family unit. The excitement and anticipation we have for all these possibilities is huge!

We know that it is hard to get to know someone on paper, but we hope we have given you a true glimpse into our fun, loving, and adventure filled lives! We want to be able to experience this journey with you, while respecting your boundaries and wishes. Life is precious, and we would be forever grateful to you for this gift.

We have nothing but the utmost respect for you and the immense love you are showing your child by choosing adoption. Know that we will continue to pray for you and your little one, whether you decide to move forward with us or not. You can be proud of yourself for whichever family you choose, knowing that you've done all of this with great consideration, and in love.

Love,

Matt & Tori
