Kyle & Kristy
Thank you for spending time getting to know us. We cannot wait for the opportunity to share our lives and love with a child. It is unimaginable the difficulty of making any decision during this time, and we hope that choosing us gives you solace that your child will be loved unconditionally. You will forever be in our thoughts throughout this journey.
Our Favorite Vacation Spot

As a child Kyle’s favorite vacation spot was Ludington State Park. His family visited every year when he was younger with his extended family and camped in a small trailer. He remembers fishing with his dad, sharing stories around the fire, making smores, going on hikes, and swimming in Lake Michigan. Coming from the city, you can really appreciate nature and how beautiful the night sky can be away from the city lights. He has been back as an adult and has enjoyed it just as much as he did when he was a child.
Kristy’s favorite vacation spot has been anywhere on a cruise. She loves to be on boats and enjoy the fresh breeze and warm weather. She went on multiple cruises as a kid with her family and when we met, she talked about how she wanted to get married on one, which we did. We had over 20 family and friends join us on this adventure, and it was so memorable. While on the cruise, we were selected to participate and WON the “Not so Newly Wed” gameshow the cruise hosted beating out two other couples, one that was together for over 50 years! During the cruise we went on so many incredible excursions. We got to hold a sloth, had monkeys jump on us, swam with dolphins, and ate an authentic meal in a small Mayan village. We have been on multiple cruises since and hope to share traveling the world with a child.
Education We will Provide
We both value education and experiences to learn and grow. Kyle has a master’s degree in accounting and Kristy has two medical-related bachelor’s degrees.
Education starts day one, and it is as easy as talking and engaging with your child often. We will allow a child to succeed through giving them opportunities to learn by playing, trying and even failure. We don’t view failure as a negative but as a positive for growth. Allowing a child to safely, but freely, explore their world gives them confidence in their abilities and themselves. We believe doing this early on will set themselves up for success and create an environment where they want to learn.
While we both have traditional, college-based educational backgrounds, we believe there are many pathways to success. Intelligence is not just how much you memorize in a book, but also social and specialized skills. We cannot wait to support a child in whatever path they choose.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other

Kristy about Kyle:Kyle has the biggest heart and that is why I am lucky enough to call him my husband. He cares deeply about things that he is passionate about. Kyle will spend hours researching and making sure that he understands everything he can about a place or problem. He is also very silly and loves to have fun. He is not afraid to make himself look funny to make others feel better. Watching Kyle interact with children has shown me that he will be an amazing father who will go above and beyond for his child. He will ensure that they are always safe, while getting to experience the world and growing as an individual.
Kyle about Kristy: Kristy has an indescribable passion and desire to live life to its fullest. She is not afraid to take risks and seek adventure in every part of her life. She encourages and pushes me past my limits to my fullest potential. She always brings the best out of me, and I know she will bring the best out of a child. She loves to try new things from food to unique experiences. She has a drive to learn and grow herself. One of Kristy’s favorite pastimes is organizing and sorting areas of the house. I am very lucky that I got to marry my best friend and that she is there by my side through this journey of life.

Our House and Neighborhood

We live on a third of an acre lot, in a house with four beds and two and half baths that we built in 2021. We enjoy spending time outside with friends and family in our backyard that is equipped with a full privacy fence, hot tub, fire pit, and playscape. Our home has an open concept on the first floor, which is perfect for hosting gatherings with loved ones. Our favorite room is the dining room where we all sit around the table to share stories and talk about our day. Last year we added permanent holiday lights that allow us to light up our home for any holiday all year long.
Our neighborhood is safe and quiet, but full of life with many young families and children all around us. We live in the back of our subdivision, on a short cul-de-sac, keeping our family safe from neighborhood traffic. One of our favorite things about living in this community is Halloween; we are our city’s hotspot for trick-or-treating and get hundreds of kids every year. Halloween is our favorite holiday and we cannot wait to share this experience with a child.
We live in a medium sized city in Michigan, not far from larger neighboring cities. There are many beautiful parks and a variety of activities such as zoos, trails, splash pads, and events happening year-round for families. We both work at the same hospital, less than 15 minutes away, and local schools are even closer.
Our Extended Families

We both have small, very close immediate families. Kyle has one younger brother and Kristy has one younger sister. We also both have large extended families with many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Most of them live in Michigan, which makes visiting and spending time together easy.

Every year we make time to get together whether it is a holiday or just because, it is important to us to maintain family relationships. We look forward to Kristy’s family reunions every year up north and hosting a summer gathering for Kyle’s family at our house. We recently moved into a new home and have started hosting Christmas at our house. Kyle is a great cook and loves to prepare meals for the family.
Our families have been extremely supportive of our decision to adopt. This became very clear through their love and support with our foster placement that we had for two years. It validated that they would love us and a child no matter how they become a member of the family.
From Us to You

We are thankful that you are taking the time to get to know us and consider us as parents to your child. We cannot begin to imagine the difficulty you will have, making this decision, and want you to know that we will support and respect you in whatever you decide. It is our hope that after reading our profile, and getting to know us, that you will feel at ease with your decision should you choose us.
We met online in 2015 and quickly became inseparable. We worked in different cities about an hour from each other, but still spent almost every day together. After about six months, we moved in together and the rest is history. We got engaged in 2016 on a trip to Disney World while doing one of our favorite hobbies (Geocaching), and we married in Spring 2017 on a cruise with 20 of our closest friends and family.
Kristy has been the Manager of the Pathology department, and the Pathologists’ Assistant, at a medium sized local hospital since 2014. Her work is challenging and rewarding. She has the flexibility to adjust her schedule as needed to make appointments and handle emergencies if necessary. Kristy has always had a love for water and hopes to share this love with a child through swimming and other activities.
Kyle is a Certified Public Accountant and as of 2018 works as a Senior Financial Analyst at the same hospital. He currently has a very flexible hybrid work model, working from home four days a week and one day a week in the office. This will allow him to be very present and actively involved when raising a child. He also enjoyed skiing growing up and hopes to share this passion with a child.
Adoption has always been an option for us as Kyle has a mild genetic condition that would make it complicated to have children ourselves. After trying to conceive naturally, we went down a long road of unsuccessful fertility treatments and ultimately decided to explore adoption. We matched with a birth mom in 2021, and ultimately, she bravely decided to parent. We were happy to be able to support her through one of the most difficult decisions she had to make. Afterwards, we reached out to our agency and requested information on foster care and soon took in two amazing kids. They lived with us for two years and were happily returned to their mother. While it was hard for them to be returned, we were happy to be able to support their mom and her kids through such a difficult time in their life. This experience has made us stronger as a couple, knowing that we will be able to get through any challenges life throws our way; and has assured us in our desire and need to be parents.
We cannot wait to share our lives with a child. It is our goal to have an open, life long, relationship with you. We understand that life gets busy and that there will be emotional ups and downs through this decision, but we hope to put you at ease with your decision and communicate as much as you are comfortable. Adoption will always be a part of the child’s life, and they will know their story and know you. At a minimum we will share photos, write letters, and when they are old enough allow them to write to you as well. We hope that our relationship flourishes even more and that we can have phone and video calls or even visits in person. It is our intention to make this as seamless and stress-free as possible for everyone.
We hope that after learning about us that you are assured that we will be great parents. Our love is endless, and we cannot wait to share our lives with you and your child.
