Kyle & Susan
Welcome to our profile! We are grateful for this opportunity to share a little bit about ourselves with you. We want to express our deep admiration and respect for your courageous decision to consider adoption for your child. We hope that you can feel the love we have for each other and for adoption as you learn more about us.
Our Leisure Time
We love to spend time together as a family! Some of our favorite hobbies include running, biking, going for long walks, playing in our backyard, and swimming.
Kyle enjoys mountain biking, snow skiing, and swimming. Susan loves to run, kayak, and garden and Brennen enjoys coloring, playing his ukulele and riding his bike.
We are very social people. We spend a lot of time with our friends and family. Kyle's parents live down the road from us and we see them often. When we are at his parent's home, you can usually find us swimming in their pool, eating homemade cookies, or sitting on the patio enjoying their backyard with them.
We also spend a lot of time with our friends and their young children. We often meet up at the park or lake and let the kids play and interact with each other. We always have a great time. We look forward to the day when we can enjoy these activities with our new family member.
Why We Chose Adoption
Before we got married, Susan learned that it would be very difficult for her to have children. With that in mind, we decided years ago, that we would like to grow our family through adoption someday. We both have several cousins and friends who are adopted, so it was a very natural decision and one that our extended family has wholeheartedly welcomed.
Susan has a medical condition that causes serious complications for our babies while pregnant. The most predominant complication is placental insufficiency. As a result, we have had three children born premature, two of which passed away shortly after birth.
Our son Warren was born in February of 2019 and passed away immediately after delivery. Our son Brennen was born in June of 2020 at 3 lbs. He spent a month in the NICU and has no complications from being born premature. He is a very happy 3-year-old boy!
Our daughter Sophie was born in August of 2022 and lived for six precious hours before she passed away.
While Susan is very healthy, her doctors strongly believe that placental insufficiency, amongst other issues, will continue to occur with every pregnancy. We want another child, but we know that is not something that we can likely be able to do on our own.
We believe that now is the perfect time for us to adopt. We love being parents and we cannot wait to welcome another child into our family! We are very excited for the opportunity to adopt.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other

Kyle is the best Dad in the world! He is incredibly patient and always makes Brennen a priority. He makes sure to involve Brennen in everything that he does, whether that be work or play.
Kyle About Susan: I adore Susan. She is the most kind, patient, and loyal person I have ever met. Susan is passionate about serving other people. Susan is the best mother. Her creativity and happiness is contagious for the whole family. She is quick to involve Brennen in anything she is doing around the home, whether it's making a home cooked meal, doing an art project, or tidying up her garden. Susan is a beacon of positivity and makes me want to be a better person every single day.
Our House and Neighborhood
We absolutely love where we live! We live in beautiful Northern California where we own a home. Our home is in a family friendly, suburban neighborhood very close to where we both grew up. Our town is known for its excellent schools and family friendly environment. It has been voted one of the best cities to live in and we agree!
Our neighborhood is the perfect place for long walks and family bike rides. One of our favorite things about it are the two large parks within walking distance of our home. In addition to the parks, we have a five-mile paved walking trail that goes throughout our neighborhood. We love to spend time on the walking trail.
Our favorite place most of all is our home, it is our happy place. We purchased our home two years ago and have spent a lot of time renovating it with the help of family members. We are very proud of all the hard work that we have put in. Our home is a clean, safe, peaceful place where we love to be.
When outside of our home, we enjoy spending time at Kyle's parent's house which is located nearby. We also have several great friends who live in the area. We frequently get together with them and their children. Our church is also located very close to our home. We feel very blessed to live in such a great community full of friends and family.
Our Extended Families
Our extended families are incredible! We love spending time with them. Our family network is beautifully spread out between California, Utah, and Texas. We are fortunate to have Kyle's parents and brother living nearby allowing us to connect with each other often. Susan's parent's and the rest of our siblings live out of state, and we make it a priority to visit them regularly. They in turn, come out to California and visit us a lot as well.
Whether it's our annual camping trip to the beach or traveling to a new destination, each visit is a chance to celebrate being together with family and the love that binds us. We enjoy exploring new places, going kayaking at the lake, family bike rides, and visiting the local ice cream shops. Most evenings during our family gatherings include lively card games that include a lot of laughter and friendly competition. These cherished traditions form the heart of our family unity, instilling in us a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life and the precious moments we share together.
As we welcome your baby into our extended family, know that adoption has already been met with enthusiasm and support. We believe that family is not just about blood ties but about building a network of love, care, and understanding. Our belief in the power of unconditional love extends to all family members, and we are eager to embrace and cherish the newest member who will join us through our adoption.
From Us to You
First and foremost, we want to express our deepest admiration and respect for the courageous decision you are making in considering adoption for your precious child. We can only begin to imagine the emotions and choices you are facing during this time. We pray that you may be able to find the perfect fit for your child and feel peace with your decision.
We are writing this letter with an open heart, honesty, and the utmost love, as we hope to be chosen as adoptive parents for your baby. We are a loving and devoted couple, with a strong commitment to each other, our family, and God. We have been happily married for over seven years and have loved every moment of it.
Our journey towards adoption has been one of love, hope, excitement, and longing for another child to share our lives with. We have faced challenges along the way, but these experiences have only strengthened our desire to become parents.
If you choose us to be your child's adoptive parents, we want you to know that we are committed to an open and honest relationship with you. We understand the importance of maintaining connections and we are eager to send letters and pictures, so you can witness your child's growth, milestones, and personality.
We are open to more avenues of communication than just those listed above. If chosen, this is something that we would like to discuss with you. We believe that a child should know their roots, their birth story, and the incredible love that brought them into this world.
As parents, we will encourage our children to dream big and pursue their passions. We will instill in them the values of empathy, kindness, and compassion - helping them grow into confident and caring individuals. We will teach them honesty, integrity, and to work hard. We will do this by modeling these traits ourselves and associating with others who have these qualities.
We will give them every opportunity to succeed and help them back up when they fall. We will always show them kindness. We will surround them with our large network of family and friends who will love and support them unconditionally.
We promise to love your child with all our heart. We promise to care for them, provide for them, and nurture them. One way we will do this is by having Susan as a homemaker and Kyle as the provider. We were both blessed to have our mother's stay home with us and seeing the impact that made in our lives, this is something we want for our children.
We want to assure you that your child will grow up knowing about the incredible love you have for them. We will speak of you with the utmost respect and admiration, sharing your story and journey to us as a beautiful chapter in their life. We hope that you will take comfort in knowing that your child will be loved, cherished, and embraced as an integral part of our family.
In conclusion, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering us as adoptive parents for your child. We are humbled to be so. We admire your strength, selflessness, and love in making this decision. If you choose us, we promise to honor and cherish your trust, and we will forever be grateful for the precious gift you have given us and our family.
With love and hope,
Kyle & Susan
