Our Favorite Vacation Spot

Together in Savannah

Our favorite vacation spot is Savannah, GA, a place that holds so many happy memories for us. It was our first getaway as a couple, and every visit since has deepened our love for this beautiful city. We enjoy strolling through the charming, walkable streets, learning its rich history, savoring the vibrant nightlife, and relaxing in the many picturesque parks. Of course, the incredible food is always a highlight too—it never disappoints!

Beyond the atmosphere and vibrancy of Savannah, what excites us most is the idea of sharing this special place with a child. We can't wait to walk hand-in-hand with them through the historic squares, indulge in Southern treats together, and create new memories as a family. It's a place filled with connection and joy, and we're eager to experience it through a child's eyes, discovering new traditions to cherish for years to come.

Our Leisure Time

Enjoying a Sunset Walk

We enjoy a mix of quiet moments at home and getting out to explore. Loren loves gardening and spending time with her mom, especially when they're shopping or decorating for the holidays—Christmas is her favorite, and she goes all out with lights, ornaments, and cozy touches. Nick likes working on small projects around the house and keeping things running smoothly. We both enjoy cooking together, trying new recipes, and relaxing with our two dogs nearby.

On weekends, we like to hike local trails, visit nearby towns, and check out community events. Local festivals are a favorite—whether it's a craft fair, food truck gathering, or seasonal celebration, we enjoy being part of the fun. We also love going to comedy shows and trivia nights. It's a great way to unwind, share some laughs, and spend time with friends. Planning trips is something we both look forward to, whether it's a weekend getaway or a longer vacation. Time with family is important to us, and we spend a lot of it with Loren's mom and our nephews, especially by the pool or during holiday get-togethers.

Our life is full of small joys, shared adventures, and meaningful connections. We're excited to welcome a child into this rhythm—where they'll be surrounded by love, laughter, and a strong sense of belonging.

Cultural Diversity

We will raise a child as our own, loving them unconditionally. To us, family means embracing all the unique qualities that make each person special, and we are committed to ensuring a child feels deeply valued and accepted. If a child identifies with a culture different from our own, we will honor and respect that identity wholeheartedly. We will incorporate their cultural traditions, history, and practices into our daily lives so that they grow up feeling connected to their heritage.

We are dedicated to learning about and celebrating the richness of their culture, whether through food, language, holidays, or community involvement. We believe that cultural diversity enriches all our lives, and we will ensure that a child feels proud of who they are. We will also prioritize educating ourselves and those around us to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment.

Above all, we promise to always place a child's needs above our own in every situation. Their emotional, cultural, and personal development will guide us as we make decisions as a family. It's our goal to provide a home where love, understanding, and mutual respect thrive—a home where a child feels confident and cherished for exactly who they are.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

We live in Tennessee, having recently moved here from Virginia, and we couldn't be happier in our new neighborhood. It feels like the perfect place to raise a child, with its family-focused community and close-knit neighbors. Children here have so many opportunities to grow, play, and thrive in a safe and welcoming environment.

Our neighborhood has amenities that make it ideal for young families, like a pool for summer fun and basketball courts where kids can stay active. The community regularly hosts events and activities that bring people together and create lasting memories for all ages. The presence of other families with children ensures a lively and supportive environment where friendships can blossom.

We're also lucky to be near the mall, making everyday life convenient. On our days off, we love exploring downtown by the river, where peaceful walks and vibrant city life create the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. All these things make us excited about the idea of starting a family and giving a child the chance to grow up in this wonderful community. We can't wait to see them thrive here and create traditions of their own.

Our Extended Families

Nick's Family

Loren's family is close-knit and full of personality. Her mom, Debbie, lives with them in a private apartment, creating a multi-generational household filled with love and support. Loren's aunts, who live in Maryland, cherish their annual beach trips together. These trips are a highlight, with wave riding, boardwalk meals, and plenty of time to bond. Loren's dad, Jeff, and his wife, Svetlana, are seasoned travelers who always share fascinating stories from their adventures around the globe.

With Our Niece, Olivia

Nick's family, based in Huntsville, Alabama, carries strong connections and traditions. Although originally from Rhode Island, they have embraced their time in Huntsville. Gatherings revolve around good food, with Nick's dad, Greg, and his brother, also Greg, impressing everyone with their culinary skills. Nick's mom, Tina, loves to organize games that bring laughter and fun to family time. A special highlight of their gatherings is the presence of our young nephews, who bring an extra dose of energy, joy, and curiosity to the family. Friends often join these gatherings, blending seamlessly with family as they celebrate, laugh, and play together.

Together, our families are warm, welcoming, and filled with love. We dream of sharing this love even further by bringing a child into our lives, weaving new traditions and stories into our already vibrant family tapestry.

From Us to You

First, thank you for considering us as potential parents for the child. We recognize the courage and thoughtfulness it takes to make this decision, and we have the deepest respect for the care you are putting into this process. It's difficult to express what this opportunity means to us, but we want to share who we are, our dreams for the future, and how we will honor you and the child in our journey as a family.

We are Loren and Nick, and we've been happily married for 3 years. Our love story began at work, where we were both respiratory therapists on the night shift. Over time, we became best friends, sharing laughs and conversations that blossomed into love. That foundation of friendship continues to shape our relationship today. While life has brought challenges, including a health event that impacted our ability to have children biologically, those experiences have deepened our gratitude for each other and strengthened our partnership. We view life as a journey to be walked together, and we cannot wait to welcome a child into our family and share that love.

Life in our home is rooted in love, connection, and joyful traditions. We treasure cozy nights cooking together, annual trips to Savannah, GA, and afternoons spent relaxing by the pool with our nephews. These special moments fill our lives with laughter and warmth. We're excited to welcome the child into this environment, where they can grow up surrounded by love, happiness, and support to explore their unique path.

Family is the most important thing to us. That health event taught us to treasure every moment and solidified our dream of adopting. We moved to Tennessee to be closer to family and now live with Loren's mom. Being surrounded by loved ones, especially our nephews, has brought us so much joy and a deeper appreciation for the bonds of family. We can't wait to raise a child in this environment, where they will grow up with unwavering love and a village of people cheering them on.

We promise to raise the child with honesty and respect for their story. From the start, we will ensure they know the incredible love that brought them into our lives and the selfless decision you made for their future. We will answer questions with age-appropriate honesty, helping them feel proud of who they are and where they came from. They will always know they are deeply loved.

If you'd like, we are open to sharing letters and pictures to keep you updated on the child's life. We'd love for you to feel connected and see them grow. Additionally, we're open to more contact, such as email exchanges, phone calls, or visits, if that's something you are comfortable with. Whatever level of involvement feels right for you, we will honor your wishes and maintain a relationship that works for everyone.

We admire your courage and strength. Should you choose us as parents for the child, we promise to provide them with a life filled with unconditional love, understanding, and opportunities. They will grow up in a home that values kindness, inclusivity, and family. More than anything, we will dedicate ourselves to ensuring they grow up happy, confident, and cherished.

Thank you for considering us. No matter what you decide, we hope you find peace knowing your love and thoughtfulness are guiding you.

With love and gratitude,

Nick & Loren
