Christian & Christian
Thanks for taking the time to learn more about us. Yes, we share the same name and initials (clearly fate has a sense of humor), but it's the quirks and oddities in between that we feel will make us great parents. As we begin our adoption journey, we want to honor yours and the care you're pouring into it. We hope you'll consider us and we wish you the very best wherever your path leads.
Our Life Priorities

At the heart of our life together is a focus on family, community, and creating a home that feels like both a sanctuary and a launchpad. We want our lives to be grounded in love, laughter, and connection—whether that's time spent with our parents and siblings, playdates with our nephews, or evenings surrounded by the friends who've become chosen family. We both grew up with parents who worked hard but never lost sight of what truly mattered, and we try to carry that balance forward: striving to do well in our careers while always prioritizing quality time with the people we love most.
Beyond that, we believe in building a life that's full of curiosity, adventure, and just enough quirks to keep things interesting. That means plenty of travel, weekends outdoors, impromptu projects around the house, and long afternoons spent cooking or hosting. We value hard work, yes, but we value joy just as much—finding it in the little things, like a walk with Otto, an unplanned dinner with friends, or a quiet evening on the deck. At the end of the day, our priority is to create a life that feels full, intentional, and rooted in love, one we're so excited to share with a child.
Our Leisure Time

We tend to operate in one of two modes: moving at full speed or full-on homebodies. When we're on the move, we love being active and outdoors. Christian 1, raised by athletes and a former professional cyclist, is happiest in nature. You'll find us on the trails across from our house or off in the mountains for a weekend of play. Christian 2 swam through college, so when he's not in the water, he's usually running, cycling, or doing CrossFit. Our newest family member, Otto the French Bulldog, also keeps us busy and loves long walks, drives around town, and basking in the nonstop attention he gets during lunch in the village near our home.
When we're still, we love being home—settling into the sofa for a long movie or lounging on the back deck as the sun goes down. Christian 1 is a fabulous chef who can easily whip up a focaccia from scratch just because, while Christian 2 is usually mid–house project (sometimes deciding that yes, 15 minutes is enough time to repaint a dresser before leaving for dinner) — and when that Alabama heat is kind to us, we both love tending to the garden and can't wait for an extra set of little helping hands.
Most of all, we love spending time with our people. We're grateful for the friends and community we've built and any excuse to be in their company is time well spent.
Our Pets

We have three absolutely awesome pets: Frankie, Milo, and Otto, who are a big part of our daily life and bring plenty of joy (and just the right amount of drama) to our home. Frankie and Milo are our cats, each with very different personalities: Milo is laid-back and endlessly sociable, while Frankie is more mysterious and prefers to observe from a safe distance. They're both perfect beans in their own way. Otto, our French Bulldog, is the undeniable ham of the bunch — full of personality, convinced he's twice his actual size, and always determined to be part of whatever we're doing, whether that's going for a walk, working in the yard, or staking out the most inconvenient spot on top of us during movie night.

Our pets have taught us patience, care, and the importance of showing up every day for another living being. They make our house feel like a home and keep us grounded with routine, laughter, and affection. We can't wait for a child to grow up alongside them and learn responsibility, soak up their unconditional love, and have a gang of furry, ride-or-die companions to cuddle, play with, and share life's little moments.
And while they're not "ours" per se, living across from a nature preserve means we also share our space with an ever-changing cast of birds, squirrels, and critters. It's not uncommon to find us out back watching the wildlife, a pastime we're especially excited to share with a child.

Our House and Neighborhood

Though we live in a bustling city in Alabama, we somehow lucked into a quiet, family-friendly pocket tucked into the hills. Our house sits on a peaceful street with front-row views in both directions—downtown's skyline on one side and a fully protected nature preserve on the other. It's the best of both worlds: serene and tucked away, yet close enough that we can walk to just about everything. Within a few minutes of our front door are playgrounds, hiking trails, and plenty of spots for a child to play (and for us to try to keep up). The neighborhood is full of young families and several of our closest friends live so nearby that with slightly better aim, we could hit their houses with a baseball from our deck.
Inside, our home has four bedrooms and more than enough space for family and friends to stay over. Our favorite spot is the living room—flooded with natural light and views of the city skyline and the trees. It's where we sip coffee, read, and daydream about a little one playing at our feet. We've filled the house with art, books, and little quirks that make us smile every day. It's cozy, bright, and just the right amount of imperfect. We're grateful to have found a home where nature, community, and culture all overlap and we simply wait to share it with a child.
Our Extended Families

We're both immensely fortunate to have parents who are not only still together, but also young, fun, and retired. They simply cannot wait to love on and teach a new generation of little ones.
Christian 1's parents are based in Florida, but their love of travel (and a good road trip) means we see them all the time. Even better, they spend six months of the year in the mountains just a two-hour drive away.

Christian 2's parents are still in Tennessee, and while that's already wonderfully close, they're so excited to be grandparents that they're planning to relocate to be nearer to us and this child. We've already set them up with a Realtor and are just searching for the right home.
Each of us has only one sibling — Christian 1's younger sister and Christian 2's older brother. Christian 1's sister has two amazing toddler boys we adore; they're brilliant, curious, and full of wonder. Christian 2's brother is also actively working toward starting a family, and we're thrilled at the thought of our children growing up close in age and getting to experience the world side by side.
From Us to You

First, thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us. We can only imagine how complex and emotional this moment is for you, and we want you to know how much we admire your strength, thoughtfulness, and love in considering adoption. No matter where your journey leads you, we hope you feel supported and respected every step of the way.
We are a married couple living in Alabama, in a neighborhood that's warm, safe, and filled with the kind of community we always imagined raising a child in. We've been together for nearly four years and were married just under a year ago. From the start, our relationship has been rooted in deep respect, shared values, and a whole lot of humor. We're each other's biggest cheerleaders-and we truly enjoy the life we've built together. Becoming parents has long been a hope we've shared, and adoption is a path we're walking with open hearts and genuine excitement.
Our home is on a quiet, tree-lined street that feels like its own little world. We wake up to skyline views of Birmingham on one side and a protected nature preserve on the other, complete with hiking trails and birdsong. We're surrounded by families, parks, playgrounds, and close friends who live just down the street. It's the kind of place where kids ride bikes after school and neighbors lend a hand without asking.
When we're not working (or working on the house), we're usually outside - running, cycling, hiking, or simply enjoying our backyard. We love to cook together, garden, and host casual evenings on our porch with friends. Our two cats, Frankie and Milo, and our French Bulldog, Otto, are always close by and keep things lighthearted. Our home is full of warmth, laughter, and a sense of calm we look forward to sharing with a child.
We want you to know that, if chosen, we will speak openly and respectfully about you from day one. We believe in honesty, compassion, and making sure a child knows their story from the very beginning, including the tremendous love and courage that led them to us. We're committed to sending letters and pictures so that you can see how your child is growing, thriving, and loved beyond measure. And if you are open to more contact - emails, phone calls, or even future visits - we are very willing to explore that, thoughtfully and with mutual comfort in mind. We believe that a child can only benefit from more love and connection, and we will always prioritize what is best for them.
We also want to say that we don't take this lightly. We understand that you are making a deeply personal and selfless decision. If you choose us, we will do everything in our power to raise your child in a home full of unconditional love, stability, opportunity, and joy. We will nurture their curiosity, encourage their individuality, and surround them with people who will cheer them on in every chapter of their life.
Thank you again for considering us! Whatever you decide, we wish you peace, clarity, and support in the days ahead.
