We are blessed to call Colorado home. Not only are we surrounded by a strong and loving community, but we also have access to so many beautiful outdoor adventures that bring us joy and help us stay connected. We enjoy hiking, skiing, going to concerts, volunteering at church, and spending time with family including our nieces and nephews.

We are both deeply passionate about our careers and believe that our experiences have prepared us well to support and nurture a child throughout every stage of development. Danielle is a pediatric occupational therapist who works closely with children with a wide range of needs and abilities. She helps children build life skills while coaching caregivers in ways to best support their child. Her work centers around child-led, trauma-informed care, and she has experience supporting families with everything from emotional regulation and feeding to dressing, play, and daily routines. She truly loves children and is honored to build relationships with the families she serves.

Colby owns and operates a financial advisory business where he helps families plan for meaningful life goals through personalized financial guidance. As a business owner, he has flexibility in his schedule that will allow him to be a very present and involved father. We are blessed with lives centered around connection, compassion, and creating meaningful experiences with the people we love. We are excited to share that life with a child and provide a home filled with support, laughter, adventure, and unconditional love.

Becoming parents has always been a shared dream for us. We first talked about becoming parents when we met in college a decade ago. We got married shortly after graduation and felt it was important to focus on developing our careers along with growing together as a young married couple. We've been married for over six years now and are excited to provide a loving, stable home for a child. Four years ago, at the age of 25, Danielle was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She underwent multiple surgeries to remove both ovaries, followed by chemotherapy. We are incredibly grateful that she has now been cancer-free for these last four years. While this journey changed the path we had originally imagined, it never changed our desire to become parents.

As we explored how to grow our family, we felt drawn to adoption. To us, adoption is not only about welcoming a child into our home, but also about honoring and supporting you as their birth mother. We deeply value the idea of open adoption, believing it allows a child to grow up with a clear understanding of their story and the love that surrounds them from all sides. We feel so hopeful and grateful to be on this path, and we would be honored to learn more about you and what adoption means to you.

We are incredibly lucky to have such a large, close-knit family. Both of our families live nearby, so it's easy to spend time together throughout the year. Between us, we have eight siblings, six parents, and eight (and counting!) nieces and nephews who bring so much joy, energy, and laughter to every gathering. From the very beginning of our adoption journey, our families have celebrated alongside us and are so excited to welcome another child into the family.

Being together is one of our favorite parts of life. Whether we're taking family vacations, celebrating holidays, gathering around the dinner table, or cheering on our favorite Colorado sports teams together, we treasure every chance to make memories as a family. One of our favorite places is a family-owned lake property just 45 minutes from our home. It's where we've spent countless summers camping, barbecuing, water skiing, celebrating the 4th of July, and relaxing around the campfire. Colby celebrated every birthday there growing up, and we can't wait to continue those traditions with a child.

Danielle also has wonderful memories of spending weekends at her family's mountain cabin in Colorado, where days were filled with hiking, delicious home-cooked meals, board games, and of course, plenty of ice cream. We are so excited to share these special traditions while also creating new ones of our own. More than anything, we look forward to raising a child surrounded by family, unconditional love, and people who will cheer them on every step of the way.

We are both Colorado natives and are grateful to call this beautiful state home. When choosing where to live, we intentionally sought out a neighborhood centered around families, with nearby parks, swimming pools, open spaces, and highly regarded schools. There is a strong sense of community here, and neighbors truly show up for one another. During holidays, the neighborhood is full of decorations and celebrations, even drawing families from nearby areas to join in traditions like trick-or-treating.

Our home is a warm and welcoming space where we love to gather with others. The main floor has an open layout with a spacious family room where people naturally gather and feel at ease. It’s where we host birthday parties, baby showers, and family dinners. Upstairs, we have three bedrooms and an open loft that we are excited to transform into a playroom filled with imagination and fun.

We also have an unfinished basement that we dream of someday turning into a cozy space for a growing child or teen to spend time with friends. Our backyard opens to a peaceful walking path and pond. It’s one of our favorite places to relax, grill, and spend time together while enjoying the simple moments of everyday life.

We are so thankful that you are considering adoption for this child. We recognize that this decision comes from a place of tremendous love, courage, and sacrifice. Please know that we do not take that lightly. We have been praying for you specifically for many months, even before we knew your name or your story. Due to unforeseen medical circumstances, our path to parenthood changed in a way we never expected. We genuinely want to learn about your life, your traditions, your dreams, and the qualities that make you who you are. We believe those pieces of your story are gifts that belong to this child. We promise to speak about you with love and respect and to always be open with your child about who you are and the incredible love you have for them that led to this decision. We hope to build a relationship with you through letters, photos, phone calls, and possibly visits in whatever way feels healthy and comfortable for everyone involved as time goes on.

We are blessed with a home that is warm, welcoming, and full of joy. Family is very important in our lives, and we are thankful to have both of our families living nearby. Between us, we have eight siblings and many nieces and nephews who are already excited to welcome another cousin into the family. Our home is often filled with laughter during birthday parties, holiday celebrations, backyard barbecues, and family dinners. We can already picture a child running through the yard with cousins, enjoying family meals, and creating new traditions.

We also love the simple moments of everyday life. We enjoy hiking Colorado trails, skiing in the winter, watching a summer concert, volunteering at church, spending time with friends, and relaxing at home with our sweet dog, Magnolia. Magnolia absolutely adores children and has already become an honorary baby sitter whenever we're with friends and family. Our careers have also shaped the parents we hope to become. Danielle is a pediatric occupational therapist who has dedicated her career to helping children and supporting families through every stage of development. Her work has taught her the importance of patience, flexibility, advocacy, and celebrating each child's unique strengths. Colby owns a financial advisory business where he helps families financially prepare for meaningful life milestones. His flexible schedule will allow him to be an active, hands-on father, and his steady, thoughtful nature is one of the many reasons Danielle knows he will be an incredible dad.

We promise to love this child wholeheartedly every single day. We promise to encourage their curiosity, celebrate who they are, comfort them through difficult moments, and remind them often that they are deeply loved by God along with many others. We also promise to continue learning, growing, and listening as adoptive parents because we know adoption is a lifelong journey for everyone involved.
