We met as sophomores in high school in World Geography class. We were just 15 years old, and neither of us could have imagined that we had already met the person we would spend our lives with.

On Valentine’s Day, Brett called me and asked me to be his girlfriend over the phone. It was sweet, simple, and the beginning of a story that has now spanned more than half our lives.

We’ve grown up together through every stage of life—finishing high school, navigating college, building our careers, getting married at 23, and eventually becoming parents through adoption. Every season has strengthened our friendship and reminded us that the best relationships are built on love, trust, laughter, and choosing each other every single day.

Looking back, it’s amazing to think that one high school class and one Valentine’s Day phone call led us to the beautiful life and family we’ve built together. We can’t wait to see how our story continues as we open our hearts to another child.

Our family loves making the most of every season and creating memories together. Jessica works in insurance sales, and Brett owns his own construction business, so while our weekdays keep us busy, we are intentional about making family time our priority.

We are definitely an “on-the-go” family and love finding new adventures together. Whether we’re spending the day at a water park or amusement park, relaxing by the pool, shopping, exploring a new city, or traveling to a different part of the world, we enjoy experiencing life together. We believe some of the best memories are made by simply being together, no matter where we are.

At the same time, we also treasure the everyday moments at home—family dinners, playing outside on our property, movie nights, bedtime stories, and watching Willow use her imagination. We believe childhood should be filled with both exciting adventures and the comfort of a loving home.

Above all, our lifestyle is centered around family. We want our children to know they are our greatest joy and that whether we’re traveling across the world or spending a quiet evening at home, being together is what matters most.

Becoming parents has been the greatest joy of our lives. It is a privilege we never take for granted, and we are so thankful for the gift of raising Willow. We are incredibly excited and hopeful for the opportunity to grow our family through adoption once again.

Parenting isn’t always easy. There are messy days, tired days, and moments that stretch our patience. But those moments are far outweighed by the bedtime snuggles, spontaneous hugs, contagious laughter, and hearing “I love you.” Those are the moments that remind us what truly matters.

We strive to be parents who are kind, loving, fair, and fun. We want our children to know they are always safe, always heard, and always deeply loved. We believe in setting boundaries with grace, celebrating each child’s unique personality, and creating a home where everyone feels they belong.

More than anything, we hope our children grow up knowing they are cherished beyond measure. If we are blessed to welcome another child into our family, they will be surrounded by unconditional love, encouragement, laughter, and a family that will be cheering them on every step of the way.

Family is at the heart of everything we do, and we are incredibly blessed to be surrounded by people who love and support us. Our parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, and close friends are all thrilled about growing our family again. There is never a shortage of hugs, laughter, or helping hands, and our home is often filled with family and friends gathering for birthdays, holidays or backyard cookouts, or cheering on our daughter at her activities.

Our daughter has wonderful relationships with the whole family and our friends, and they have all embraced her with unconditional love from the very beginning. They are just excited to welcome another child into the family and cannot wait to create new memories together. Whether it's decoration Christmas cookies, hunting Easter eggs, celebrating birthdays, or spending weekends by the pool or around the dinner table, our family loves making traditions that bring everyone together.

One of the things we treasure most is that your child will grow up knowing they have an entire village cheering them on. Our family understands and celebrates our adoption journey, and they have always encouraged us every step of the way. They know that love-not biology-is what makes a family, and they are ready to welcome another child with open arms and overflowing hearts.

We are proud to call Texas home and feel incredibly grateful for the community where we are raising our family. Our home sits on four beautiful acres with a stocked pond, giving us plenty of space to play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors together. While we love the peace and privacy of country living, we are only minutes from excellent schools, parks, restaurants, and all the conveniences families need.

Our home is warm, welcoming, and made for spending time together. The kitchen and family room are where we gather most often-whether we're cooking dinner, playing games or enjoying family movie nights. Outside is where we spend much of our time. We love playing in the yard, grilling on the patio and watching sunsets from our back porch.

One of the things we love most about where we live is the freedom it gives children to simply be kids. We imagine your child running through the yard, building forts, catching fireflies on summer evening, swinging on the swing or playground, playing with our dog and making memories that will last a lifetime. Our hope is that our home will always be a place where they feel safe, encouraged, and deeply loved.

If there's one thing we hope you take away after reading about us, it's that we're simply a family who loves deeply. We've built our life on faith, commitment, laughter, and showing up for each other every single day.

Willow is a happy, energetic little girl who has brought so much joy into our lives. She loves making people laugh, trying new things, and talks often about becoming a big sister. Watching her grow has only strengthened our desire to welcome another child into our family. We know love doesn't divide-it grows.

Life in our home is full of connection. We love family dinners, evenings by the pool, traveling together, celebrating birthdays and holidays, cheering each other on, and making the ordinary days feel special. Some of our favorite memories aren’t the big vacations or milestones— they’re the quiet moments reading together before bed, talking about our day around the dinner table, or laughing until our stomachs hurt over something completely silly.

We also believe children thrive when they know they are safe, accepted, and loved exactly as they are. Our hope is to raise kind, confident, compassionate children who know they always have a place where they belong.

One of the greatest gifts adoption has given our family is perspective. We know our family exists because someone made an incredibly loving and courageous decision. That is something we never take for granted. Your child’s adoption story will never be hidden or forgotten— it will be celebrated with honesty, respect, and gratitude throughout their life.

We have been married for over sixteen years and together for more than twenty-five. Through every season of life, we’ve learned how to support one another, communicate through challenges, and celebrate life’s blessings together. We truly believe that the strongest foundation we can offer a child is a home filled with unconditional love and two parents who are completely committed to each other and to their family.
